So I just bought a used dash to replace my cracked one. It's in good condition but needs a real good cleaning. Seems like some spots on it are real hard to get off some of the gunk then others. So I was wondering what's some real good products and procedures to use to clean it up real good.

I was going use a Mr clean magic eraser to try and get hard stuff off but need help!

A Magic Eraser may be a little harsh to use on a dash. I'd start with a mild (diluted) all-purpose cleaner.

I have simple green, so you think dilute that more?

I would try diluting it 4:1 first. If that isn't strong enough, you can always bump it up. once clean, use a good vinyl protectant on it (not ArmorAll).

If you can find it locally, I love Surf City Dash Away. It's also a great cleaner. 303 is also good. I haven't bought any other OTC interior protectants for years. Your options are endless if you want to go mail order.

I'll try looking for that otherwise I will most likely order it offline since the better options are usually online anyway.

Once you get it clean, I would use Adam's Total interior cleaner if you like that factory look with minimal shine. It's a mild cleaner, but it also has some light protectent's in it as well. Adam's also has a leather conditioner that works great on dashboards if you are looking for even more protection (i think it SPF 60 in it)

I like to use mothers just due to the smell. Not many cleaners have a sent, I have smelled many.

303 protectant gets my vote. It leaves a clean look that is not greasy or too shiny.
