So I have been a Ford gal pretty much my whole life. I finally decided to trade my 05 F150(had new since 05 with 100k miles) and get a new slightly used Laramie Ram. My son has the Laramie Longhorn.
First off after the do first oil change they forgot to tighten a seal and there was oil in my garage and driveway. They supposedly fixed it and guess what it’s still leaking. Now I have all kinds of warning lights will flash. It happens for no reason. I’m attaching a file so y’all can see it. I’ve had this truck for 3 1/2 months. I’m headed to the dealership for the fourth time(mind ya it’s 30 miles one way from me. Help me out cause I’m lost in the Ram world . Ok it won’t let me upload the video but every warning light comes on at random times. Oh and head mechanic came to my home and cleared the codes. It’s still happening

You might have a bad battery...these trucks are finicky about low voltage for some reason and it's common for weird electrical stuff to occur.

Only being a year old? Dealership has it now of course it’s gotta happen when they test drive it. But they have seen the video and another video on the way up this morning. Thanks guys.

This.

A battery can definitely go bad in 1 year, you don't know how badly the previous owner abused the vehicle-I.E. they were running it dead frequently by blasting the sound system at outside parties/things like that. The leaking oil could be as simple as a gasket from the previous oil filter not coming off completely or the new filter being cross-threaded. This is exactly why I do all my own service, you can't trust techs as far as you can throw them.

X3 on bad battery these new OEM ones are junk, as far as the oil leak have them check the oil pressure sending unit and drain plug washer, also welcome to the Ram Forum!!!

Wow I love the grill on yours. I’m going to do a white/black with some carbon fiber to match what’s inside. Can’t spend too much as I need new mods for my Roadglide

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the truck. For sure I’m betting money on battery as well.

Welcome! Sorry your Ram relationship is starting off on the wrong foot. Once you get the issues ironed out I bet you'll love it.
Lots of great advice and good people here, search around and don't hesitate to ask more.

Thanks ….nope battery is checking out fine. Have had this issue and gone to the dealership now will be four times. My son said “Have the dealership make you whole” and after watching the videos they are looking for a 22 Laramie wsport 4X4 truck for me. My son said if they can’t make you whole call corporate. In the last video my truck shut itself off driving 70 mph down interstate 75 and in the video I stated if something happens to me because this truck shuts off and I get killed in this truck I want this video to stand as proof of the truck going crazy.

Something isn't grounded right.

Did the crazy stuff happen before or after the oil change?

After the oil change I think I’ll have to check my paperwork.

Sounds like someone was clumsy and messed up some wiring during the oil change.
