Hey all, thought I'd share my new tool/toy I got for the garage. I was sick and tired of having to jerk around with a shop vac which IMO have horrible suction or pulling my home vac outside which stink because the hose is always too short and then there's the whole power cord B.S.

So here it is. It's a VacuMaid GV50PRO which comes with 50ft of hose and all the end tools. The pro gives you metal tubes and a better motor as well as the ability to use it to blow stuff by moving the hose to the exit.

Anyway... I mounted ours with the bottom about 7 feet off the ground. This way it's not taking up valuable real estate.

Suction is AWESOME, and it's quiet to boot!

Oh and it's made in the USA!!! No cheap plastic either, this baby is heavy gauge galvanized and powder coated steel.

Nice!! I have the shop vac hang up. Has good suction and 25ft hose. But that is one nice machine. Sure it is night and day difference

Neat I totally agree with you on shop vac being a poor suction vacuum. I like what you got here another option if you don't have a place to mount like this is buy a Rigid brand shop vac they are much better and actually do what the ShopVac brand set out to do. One filter wet and dry tons of suction.

Nice setup. Garage space is valuable and the upper half is rarely used.

You gotta plug that irrigation box in for it to work.

Even though the water is off and the lines are blown out, I still unplug it! It will soon be plugged in. Good eyes!

They're not cheap! 286 on Amazon. Made in USA costs money, but it's TOTALLY worth it.

It's 7 gallon capacity with HEPA bag and doesn't lift water. If I have water in my garage, I've got bigger issues! My garage is 33ft wide so the length of hose hits the whole thing.

It's truly a quality piece.

Very nice Chewy, and not a bad price.

Nice!

Because I use mine to shampoo carpet as well, my 4Gal/5HP Rigid shop vac works great. It lifts the floor mats right out of the car but is really small and light to deal with and does wet/dry for $99.

I have heard quite a few good reviews on the Rigids as well.

I need a Wet/Dry Vac that is portable, because often I cannot get my truck IN the garage.
(My parents have a terrible habit of using it for storage)

Yeah, I have a Hoover portable steam vac for that work, but I seldom use more than Adams Carpet and Upholstery cleaner and a microfiber towel since I have weathertechs in both of our DD's. Carpet just never gets dirty. lol

The 50ft hose means it reaches out of the garage a good 20 feet or more!

The manufacturer has a deal going that if you send them a copy of the review you left on Amazon, they'll send you three free hepa bags. SCORE!

Speaking on that... The HEPA bags seem to keep you from smelling the dirt in the air like I always did with my ShopVac. That's kind of nice seeing as my vehicles are sitting in there and I don't need it stirring up dust.
