I am picking up my first ram, and my first truck. It is a 2005 dodge ram 2500 with the 5.9 cummins. I have always dreamed about owning a truck with a cummins and now it is a realty.(well almost still need to go get it).
A little about myself, My name is Ryan, my family and I moved to Colorado last summer. This will be my first truck. I am turning 17 in june, since the truck went over what I had saved to buy one with my Dad has offered to chip in the rest of the money, so probably not going to be able to add to many aftermarket parts for a little while. The main reason I got a truck was to throw my atv in the back when heading to the track or the dunes, and this fits the bill perfectly.
I do plan on rebuilding the tranny, and adding an edge programmer as the first thing. Would it be worth getting the programer without having a rebuilt trans? or will the extra performance tear it up?
and what is a thread without pictures?
