Hello from down south..

I have an 02 Ram with the 4.7. My questions are about some of the issues I am having. First is the door locks,,when the drivers door lock is pressed it sounds horrible and then doesn't want to unlock. Would I need to replace the door lock motor or would the door switch do the trick? Second question is,,the truck drove fine last night, but this morning when I tried to start it it has issues. It starts but dies immediately. If I put pressure on the gas pedal it will stay running but as soon as I let off it dies. What could cause this? I have checked the battery and its charged, terminals are tight, has plenty of gas in the tank that is fresh. I am at a loss on these two problems and hope that someone one here will be able to help. Thanks well in advance!

I would say the window Motor. If the switch was broken, it wouldn`t work at all. For you other problem, it`s probably a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Does it take a long time to crank over? Any codes?

Pretty sure he meant the door lock actuator. Not window, but yes, the switch wouldn't be the cause of the sound.

Thanks guys,,,I am going to go get the TPS today and see how that goes. I am thinking its the actuator also but any time you do a parts search on them nothing comes up. would it be easy to replace?

Sorry. I don`t know why I was thinking it was his window.
