So tomorrow I plan on purchasing a 2011 ram 1500 sport with 24 k miles, from a local dealership. I talked them down to $28,500. Does that seem pretty fair? I haven't had a chance to play around with the electronics yet, but im almost positive it doesn't have navigation or backup camera. Is there an easy way to install navigation with this head unit?

Forgot to mention its a 4wd crew cab. Also it has a k&n intake installed. Any problems with having that?

Not a great deal, but not a bad one either. If you love the truck, go for it. I got my 2011 Quad Cab for $23,500 with 17,500 miles, but once you tack on all the dealer ********, it was right around $29,000.

I just went to look that day, and fell in love with the damned thing so I had to have it lol. Let us know if you buy it!

You cam add the backup camera but not navigation you need a 430N radio for that, I have the same as pictured the 430..... Doesn't sound like a horrible deal just make sure it's what you want don't settle for that truck if it's not perfect for you at that price

Have to go aftermarket to add navigation. Camera I am not sure of on the 2011.

Use Trucar or Edmunds for pricing.

Did you install a backup camera in yours? Did you go aftermarket?

Good luck. Like others said make sure its got what you want. A dealer near me is selling discounted 14's for 33,000. with Hemi. Just saying. I know you dont want to hear that now. But then again it may not be equiped enough for you.

I think 28,000 is high. It is too close to new prices with yesterdays tech. It is still a good truck If you want it Push the 25,000 price and act firm they will sell. A dealership feels like they have to close everyone so be the big winner.

Either way Wish you all the best.

I read this right before I got there and decided to check out new rams. For the options I wanted the price was way out of my budget. So I pulled the trigger on the 2011 sport for $27,500. Ill be picking it up Tuesday and bringing them my caliber srt4 for trade in :-(

Good for you. At the end of the day knowing you got the options you needed most and bells and whistles that will make all the more fun is what matters most. I know I have no room to speak with my one and only posted picture but looking forward to seeing your new ride. I cant blame anyone for going for strong savings. In fact I wouldnt have mine if werent for the deal.

Good luck to you and try to get some rest between now and tuesday. I know it wont be easy. lol

As far as your radio goes, you have the latest version of the RBZ radio according to the picture. You can add a back up camera and it will work off that radio, but you will have to have the dealer flash the electronics for it to work. As far as navigation your present radio does not have it and you will have to get the 430N for navigation.

If you look on Ebay they are pretty expensive for the navi radio so the best bet would be to go after market. You can get some very nice units for a lot less and they will accept the back up camera without a dealer flash.

You can find some posts on these here if you do a search.

Grats on the new ride.

So would an OEM mopar back up camera be plug and play with my stock head unit? Besides having the dealer flash it. This is the camera I'm talking about btw 2009 2012 Dodge RAM 1500 Rear View Back Up Camera New Mopar | eBay
