Yeah it's getting painted. A LOT of paint. So apparently carbon fiber is a ***** to paint.
They are going to sand and primer double what they normally would for a metal hood and they said they recommend quadruple that (or more to get all the waves out), but I didn't want to pay $2000 to have my hood painted. So it's not going to be perfect. Honestly I regret getting this hood but it's too late to turn back now.

I'm not sure what that means, they didn't elaborate further. But apparently they are not a fan of Carbon Creations.
They also said this is the last time they will accept a request to paint carbon fiber....

Im going to go out on a limb and say they used the wrong process for prepping the hood prior to paint and didn't realize it till it dried. I don't see any other reason to need the hood for two more days if it was finished unless pits, runs, and polyurethane sagging

So MEH. I'm not happy with the hood in general. The fit is poor. The wire mesh is crap. It was way too ******* expensive for what it is. But it's too late now. I have to install the hood pins myself, the body shop wouldn't do it. Argh.
