New muffler orderd

After doing some research I ordered the Mufflex DODNG18 today, looking forward to a better sounding exhaust.

I've had the same exhaust on my 4th gen for going on 3 years. It has a nice deepish rumble at idle and sounds great when you step on it. It does have some drone at cruising speed but really pretty minimal. One thing I hated was when the engine dropped to 4 cylinders. It sounded terrible as has been described here by a lot of guys and a lot of different exhaust systems. I bought a tuner to disable the eco mode and it's been smooth sailing since. I'll probably get the same exhaust on my next truck becuase I don't have a mechanical background but I removed my old exhaust and installed this one by myself.

Well the DODNG18 from Mufflex has been installed. It sounds so much better than stock. Just a nice rumble, perfect! I will post a video when I get an opportunity but I am very happy I didn't get the 24.

Supposedly my Carven 5” black tips will be here on Monday and I’ll take that and my Borla muffler over to the exhaust shop.

I’m at the shop I’ll put my truck in the lift and show you what is involved.

I have the single exhaust set up if you have the dual exhaust it’s only a little different. All you have to do it remove the exhaust clamp just forward of the factory muffler. Then the exhaust clam of clamps that are on the of the muffler loosen those. You can move the exhaust. Pipe or pipes/resonators back a little they just hang from hangers on the rear of the truck then pull out the factory muffler and install the mufflex.

Lol, I’m really looking forward to hearing the Progressive exhaust to determine if that’s what I am in need of asap.
