Mine was completely broke off. The tech who fixed it said they see it all the time.

Oh I'm definitely bringing it to the dealer. I just don't have time before my trip next weekend. Even if they say it's "normal" at least it will be documented if something does happen.Take it to dealership and insist on having them keep it overnight to diagnose cold in am, it could be manifold bolt or any combination of engine parts, just keep politely insisting on dealership keep diagnosing it.

Yeah I left it there overnight. They started it in the morning and didn't hear anything. They let cool down again til 2 and started again. Still didn't hear anything. Then they did the recall.So did you leave the truck there? Or did you leave with it still making this sound?
