So I finally got around to changin my spark plugs & wires last weekend after procrastinating for a few weeks. I got the new Taylor shorties. I know some people have mixed emotions about em, but they look a hell of a lot better to me. I changed em all by myself ( :D ) and BOY it was a WORKOUT! It definitely sucked lol, but I can tell a difference in throttle response and torque just by changin the plugs and wires. My old plugs were SHOT. Needless to say.... I'm glad I don't have to do that again for a while hahaha

Lookin' good. I ordered a blue set of the Taylor full length for mine. Hopefully they'll be here tomorrow so I can swap the stockers and the plugs this weekend.

Those look good...being a NON Hemi owner, what are the advantages of the shorty wires versus full length? I would assume, since the current travels less it would benefit spark, would it not?

there is a big debate over shortys actually harming performance. albeit not by much but still noticable if your into the performance scene(cams, heads etc)

mainly just aesthetics. i know they harmful to performance if you are running any sort of forced induction.

Finished mine this afternoon. Getting to the bolts on those dang coils under the brake booster are the worst part. Plugs were simple this 2nd time around. Swapped in another set of Autolite XP's since they did so well the last time.

Here's the Taylor 8.2 in full length put into the stock wiretray:

And some of the plugs I pulled out that had 38K miles on them:

Yeah those look a lot better than mine did LOL

I am wantin to go with the 6.1 intake sooner or later and the shorties would look sweet with that setup. So far, I can tell a huge difference in my truck with the new plugs and wires I love it

Yeah, that'd look a lot nicer than full length wires running over the top of that pretty intake haha.

Nice work. :)
I got my plugs changed at the dealer a few months back. It was winter time and didn't want to mess with trying to get them done. Dropped a good chunk of $ on that, and the techs broke my BFI bracket. Won't be doing that again lol
