Cheers everyone. This past week I was able to bring home a 2018 Power Wagon! It's been a goal for a long time and we were finally able to bring it together. Last night, my wife and I went for a drive (odometer was at 129 miles when we got in it) and noticed the temperature (ambient temperature for outside) was reading high. It was reading 50 degrees F, yet our phones and weather station said it was approximately 33 degrees F. Big difference! It gets stranger. As we drive, roughly .10 of a mile, we notice the temp continues to decrease by 1 degree every 1-2 seconds. It finally stopped at -40 degrees F. We stopped, parked, and turned off the truck and let it sit for roughly 20 minutes. Started it up, and now it says 8 degrees F. Then continued its decent back to -40. On the way home, it climbed up to +19 F. I have video to show the dealer if needed. Any thoughts? Picture included just because I love the truck! Thanks!

Nice looking ride, even comes with a winch, wahoo. Sounds like a reflash there or maybe a Loose Connection to the sensor.
(If U in TX, those swings may be normal, J/K)

The ambient temp sensor is located in the left mirror. It reports through the drivers door module onto the CAN BUS. Dealership should be able to figure it out. Has happened on more than one occasion what you have reported.

Hi kstand,

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Ram truck! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this concern with the temperature. We recommend returning to your dealer for assistance with this. Please let us know if you would like an additional layer of support while your truck is in service.
