Just bought a 2016 ram 1500 quad cab express 5.7 Hemi. Thinking about a few mods. Any advise on cold air intake kits ? Also thinking of leveling kit or maybe a small lift.
Thanks,
Lovin my Black beauty

Howdy and welcome! Cheap cai would be add a 3" tube to your factory cold air intake, no hot air from engine bay

Good idea, but that doesn't work as good as a CAI. The stock air filter is too restrictive.

It work good with stock filter, more air is more air. I personally swapped to high flow drop in, still waaay cheaper than a cai aftermarket..

Sorry Bernie, didnt mean for this thread to get offtrack......

More air is more air?? An air scoop isn't going to help a stock air filter set up! You can't push more air into it then it's able to handle, it's going to resist more flow and won't help at all. You adding the high flow air filter like the K&N drop in will help, but you are way better off getting a real CAI. It's not that expensive either.

Bernie, just go with a real CAI, don't waste your time doing something that won't work IMO. An air scoop with a wider mouth would help only if used with a real CAI.

welcome, for leveling the front the bilstein 5100 adjustables are a great option.
