These are originally made for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator (JT) which our 4th gen RAM 1500 shares rear control arms and rear trackbar with.
They have 2 versions. I went with the OVERLAND+ ones, basically DDB bushings on both sides.

Lowers are 2x2 1/4" squared wall tubing.
Uppers are 1.5x1.5 1/8" squared wall tubing,
Bushings are Clayton Giiro DDB on both sides, 26.6* of movement per bushing, 50* combined per arm, self centered, self lubricated and maintenance free, 5/16's thick welded lower control arm housing with forged adjusters.

I did set them at factory length:
Uppers: 16 3/8"
Lowers: 23 3/4"

In terms of weight
The uppers are 6.6lbs

The lowers are 14.8lbs

Comparing the upper with the Mevotech. Sorry was too lazy to take the Mevo one off the package.

Lower Clayton vs Freedom Offroad
The FO's are beefier than Mevo, Claytons are beefier than the FO's
Clayton lowers are 2x2 1/4" wall squared tubing so they're damn massive. The pics don't make them justice

Upper Clayton vs Freedom Offroad, they're similarly sized in terms of frame beefiness
, FO's are tubular, Clayon are squared
Clayton uppers are 1.5x1.5 1/8" squared wall tubing

Because they're not RAM specific they don't come with the provision to mount the parking brake line bracket so i just drilled a small 7/32 hole and did a 1/4-20 tap, the factory bolt is bigger i think M8x1.25 or so but i don't have a tap that size so i went with a smaller 1/4 bolt.

Been running the setup for about a month now and they've been set it and forget. The bushings take the same torque as the factory ones so crank those ******* up while down there. the bushings are made with that in mind, these are heavy duty mfackers
All details specs, bushing details etc., and Yes they're Made in USA.

That's all for now.

How do the compare cost wise to the Freedom Offroads? They look bigger and beefier but I forget whether boxed frame or tubular is stronger. Any squeaks from the bushings?

Claytons are not cheap so if you're looking for a more affordable option the FO's are hard to beat, heck the FO's are a tad cheaper than the Mevotec Supreme. I have a set of Mevo, a set of FO's and now this ones. I'm a control arm freak i guess hahaha.
So the FO's are priced much better even if you went with their adjustable ones. the main difference will be the bushings. FO's are rubber like stockers or Mevotech. Claytons use a GiiroDDB bushing both maintenance free, but the DDB's can flex and are self centering so for an offroad application these ones make more sense than rubber.
In terms of frame strength i doubt you'll have issues with either option. I've used Dom tubbing control arms for years and have the beat the crap out of them in rocks never have any issues. These things are massive so i'm not expecting any issues with them.

Weight can give you an idea more or less how beefy they're. the stock lowers are prob around 4lbs. I can't tell you exactly because my bath scale doesn't read anything below 5lbs.

Mevo lowers are 7lbs

FO lowers are 8.6lbs

Clayton lowers are almost 15lbs

Zero noises from the bushings.

I’m more looking for quality. My truck is already over 6000lbs and has a 4” lift. I do some towing from time to time so I’m looking for something to stiffen the ride and get rid of the old bushings that are 77,000 miles old and have seen some harsh weather and roads. Plus, I’d rather pay for a decent set once than 2 or more crappy sets.

I noticed that too about him and control arms. I figure if he’s willing to spend that kind of money to test, better his money than mine. Lol. I need to buy a set sometime soon as well since I’ve replaced/improved the rest of my rear suspension.

Clayton makes good stuff in the Jeep world
We all use the control arms for sliding over stuff in our jeeps as most convert to long arms so it works

@ram1500rsm

on the FO, I see you got fixed, and they also have some adjustable.
Since Im still using stockers, I assume their fixed will suffice? I dont see the need for adjustable right?

Yep, if you don't need to extend the lowers or adjust pinion angle and the stockers have you where you need to be, then factory fixed lenght will do the job just fine. More likely your lift is already correcting what you need with arms relo brackets. If i went to say 3" then ill have to adjust the lenght since i don't have any brackets.

Not at $500+! Lol

However, they’re still on par price-wise with Core. Maybe some good competition between some well known and proven companies is just what our trucks need.

I’m down for set of rears from Clayton once there’s some more funds in the bank. If there’s a 2nd round of “Trumpbux” I’ll jump on them even faster.

Yup ,Core kind of had the Ram market cornered for better arms but now that the Gladiator is out you will see many other brands showing up . Some of the usual basic budget brands and a few more good brands will be showing up also . Most of us don't need the expensive ones on the average 1500

I may not need them just yet, but at 80k miles, they’ll be a welcome addition/replacement/upgrade when the time comes . . . that and it preemptively preps my rear end for a larger lift at some point.

I don’t need top of the line but I’m not buying cheap crap that will need to be replaced quickly. I don’t mind spend the money for a good quality set. It just seems like $500 for some bars is a bit outrageous.
