I wonder if this is what's delaying my 2500 order?

I bet it is. I put a down payment this past Saturday on a 2019 2500 Laramie and found out yesterday they can't close the deal until the recall is fixed. I noticed all the dealerships in my area pulled their HD diesel models off their sites. I'm not very optimistic in that this issue won't be resolved for several weeks. I gotta believe anyone currently driving a 2019 diesel RAM will be getting this notice in the mail shortly.

Yep, signed papers last Sunday for a new 19 2500 6.7 and was told I can’t take delivery until the recall is settled and repairs made. No fix determined at the current time! Likely be weeks... or more!

My confidence in FCA as well as Ford, GM, Nissan, Toyota, and others has gone way down in the last ten years. Too many recalls, All the foreign outsourcing, and just in time inventory supply connection's, Globalism, The almighty push for .005 more MPG's, like MDS, Gawd I'm sounding like a Geezer. Rant over & out.

Just confirmed with my dealer that my order has been held up due to this recall. Crap. My truck is built and stuck in Mexico pending their fix. Dealer had no guestimate on how long.

That is not correct. In the past recalls were often forced by deaths/injuries then a court case and finally a recall.

No mfgs are being pro active and addressing the issue before that process.

Also, there are trucks are more complicated then when you were a boy. At that time all you had to do was make sure the horse was hitched up properly and the axles greased.

Someone posted on this forum late last year with a new 2500 that caught fire due to this issue. I think he was hauling a trailer to go camping when it happened.

This is very depressing, the fix for this won't realistically be executed for months. That's assuming they get parts manufactured ASAP. The only light at the end of the tunnel is that they do have a fix engineered according to FCA's recall site.

Interesting. Wonder what is different about the 2019 68RFE vs my 2016 68RFE? Wonder if they upped the pressures in the 2019 as I saw mention of the pressure plate on the valve body?

Got a text from my dealership saying the recall is a sensor issue that needs a part. Of course when that part gets manufactured and sent out to the dealership's is anyone's guess.

So this is NOT effecting the aisin tranny. I just ordered a 2020 3500 HO diesel.
