The gaps look huge. Should see some power back if you were experiencing spark blow out

Thanks for taking the time to put those pics up. Neat to look at it after 180K miles. They all look about the same color.

Did you notice a fuel economy change?
I changed mine at 130,000 to champion iridium plugs and now my economy is crap.

Still?? I was hoping all that **** with the extreme picky-ness about spark plugs went away with the 3rd Gen Rams.

As far as I know nothing has changed , other than or still causes issues.

As far as I know nothing has changed , other than or still causes issues.

I figured that since they obviously use a platinum or iridium plug now, with the much, much longer change intervals, and not the basic bottom of the totem pole copper plugs anymore that we’d have more options at plugs now.

You might be right, but since changing our plugs is such a pia, I am going to stick with OE.

I've rad on this forum and others that the 09-13 had the older copper plugs and didn't like going to the iridium/platinum/long life plugs. Bad performance, mpg, and misfire codes seem to be the issues. The 30k change interval sucks, but if it works...

That’s how it was on my 08 3rd gen I had. Exactly that. I can’t believe they carried that nonsense all the way to 2013. Changing them 16 spark plugs every 30,000 miles was a pain in the ass.

Mine on my 18 must either be platinum or iridium because I don’t have to change them until 10 years goes by or a hundred thousand miles goes by. Well, manual says that my plugs aren’t time-based but they still put a 10 above the mileage interval.

I think if you want to use those fancy plugs in the older 4 th gen's you can change(upgrade) the coil packs and then you can use the "newer" style plug. But the're still a pain in the ass to change, especially if your under 6' tall, unless you remove the fender liners.
