Two weeks ago i had a lady run into my driver side tire. Put the spare on and drove it home the steering was way off so decided to take it to a garage as her insurance was covering all the repairs. They replaced the steering box, sector shaft, and steering damper. They said everything was fine and it was for about a week now the play is back.
I popped the hood and grabbed the steering shaft. I can rotate it in either direction about 1.5" before it gets tight and can see the steering wheel in the cab moving as i turn it.
Does anyone have any ideas what has happened or is happening? I feel like i should not be able to move the shaft 1.5" input with no output especially on a new box.
