I have a 2017 1500 Limited, 26k miles. I put new tires on last month and there has been a vibration since. The dealer tried to balance them 3 times including road force, still feel a vibration/shake in the seat at 50-60 mph. The manufacturer replaced the rears 2 days ago, same issue.
Any ideas?

Hello Eds34pc,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this vibration. We can't necessarily change the diagnosis given by the dealer, but if you end up getting a second opinion, let us know. We're available via direct message and would be happy to help with that process.

Did you go up in size?
Are they the stock rims?
There’s a washer on each of the studs that holds the rotor on during manufacturing. That washer must be removed it’s not needed after the brake calipers and wheels are put on.
JMHO but these washers need to be removed.

Are you thinking you'd like to get an official inspection for the shake? Send us a direct message as we'd be glad to help with that process.

I took a road trip yesterday, and the truck shakes noticeably between 50-60 mph, and intermittently between 70-75 mph. The 50-60 is all felt in the seat and floor, the 70-75 is in the seat, floor and slight shake in the steering wheel.
The 4 new tires were installed by Ram dealer, mounted, balanced, alignment. The dealer attempted to balance the rears 1 time high speed, and 1 time road force.
The replacement rear tires were installed by a Firestone center, and high speed balanced.
The tires are Bridgestone Dueler Alenza Plus 275/60/20
Very frustrating.

Ok, so ive had this problem since probably winter and i just stayed away from my shake speed. I went after my next mod and got new wheels/tires from custom offsets and i went from a stock 20X9 rim with 275/60 cooper discover HT to A 20x10 rim and -24 offset wrapped in 285/55 cooper discover AT3s and i have no vibrations what so ever. Funny how i went from an ideal wheel to a theoretical nightmare on my suspension and my problem was solved. Had them for over 3 weeks and have made several smooth 100mph pulls

So my suggestion is maybe your wheel itself is bad if youve done tire swaps.

Did you check the sidewall of the tires to see what the date of manufacture is?

They have tried high speed balance 2 times, and road force once. I’m not sure what they do once they take it in, but each time they report the tires were out of balance.
I like the truck, but the idea that a dealer that sells tires can’t seem to get this right has me skeptical about their ability to perform more difficult jobs.
I have had the truck in for the “ram thump” which they corrected for a short time but that is back.
I understand that dealers aren’t excited about warranty work, even the service writer complained to me that he doesn’t get any business he can make money on, but most of the work on relatively new trucks is warranty work.
I was considering a new Ram 1500 next year, but that may be ruled out due to the apparent incompetence of the dealer.
