Bilstein 5100's and stock size wheel/tire combo will make it ride much better... I'm sure that's not what you're looking for, but it's a solution.

Hey Everyone I just bought a newish Ram 1500 40,100 miles. Driving on the highway is great (How I test drove the truck). But you get on a back road and the ride is about 2 miles and it beats me to death! I hate driving the truck!

Looking under the truck I found an air hose to the back of the truck but not connected to anything!

I don't know anything about the truck since i just bought it so any help would be awesome!

I added a few pictures of the truck and under the rear end.

Beautiful Truck but looking at your pictures The tires are your ride Problem.

If those are 8 or 10 ply tires you are going to get a real harsh ride.

I put 35x11.5x20 Nitto's on mine in the Summer and go back to stock 17" snow tires in the winter up here and the ride is night and day.

You start with checking your psi. With those tires you don't need much. Maybe 45 front and 35 out back.

If I read this whole thread correctly, this is a two-wheel drive 1500. If this truck has a 3.92 rear, I would bet that the addition of air bags, the LT tires and all the rest, this thing was set up for and maybe used exclusively for towing.

Got the lift and the new tires and rims installed. The ride is better but it is still rough! I am going to try running the tires at 30 PSi all the way around and see if it rides like for a few days. it is about 70% better then befre. I will post some pictures when I get back from being out of town

More work is being done on the truck the Lift didn't fix the very very bad ride. It helped but not enough! I have replaced the rear lower control arms and and waiting for new rear upper control and track bar to be installed next week. Hopefully that will be the end of the bad ride....
