Hey everyone just picked up a 2020 Ram 2500 tradesman with a 6.4 and 4.10 gears. I Love this truck, it’s night and day from my last one. I traded a 2018 ram 2500 tradesman and I got 500$ less than what I paid a year ago, so not bad. I kept the tires that had only a few thousand miles on them and my back rack and tonneau cover and seat covers. I couldn’t stand the 3.73 rear end and 6 speed trans and I’ve been wanting a plow and the new one had one on already. Anyway this was a “used” truck with 675 miles on it. Still has the new car smell that’s a first for me. I’ve only ever bought trucks with a bit of miles on them.

My question is, what should I be doing to this truck, maintenance or break in wise. I plan on keeping it for a while, for once. I’ve put 700 miles on it so far and pulled my camper.

Waxoly the vehicle all body crevices and under carriage.

That is solid advice I've been doing fluid film on different vehicles for a few years now. It’s funny because always undercoat them and then don’t keep them very long. I bought the sprayer that has different flexible ends. It works really well. Is waxoyl different or better than fluid film?

The waxoly has two products the lighter one which should be sprayed into the doors and body channels,
then the heavier product for the exposed under carriage and belly it cures down to a hard waxy material that doesn't brush or wipe off easily. I ran my 2015 through the car wash at least weekly with the under carriage wash and when I had it touched up last year it was in good shape.
I have used the fluid film in spray cans in several places and it does a good job but it does seem to wipe off easily in tall grass and such.
