Well. I had the new truck itch.

Here is the result.

Yellow was a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 traded in for a 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock.

I was presented with a deal that I couldn't really refuse. I'll miss the 5.7, but the 3.6 does the what I need it to do.

345 horsepower with a 5 speed transmission (also before most of the good refinements on the RFE) vs. 305 horsepower with the 8 speed... yeah it's a bit less but you'll be fine I bet there are even a few situations where they're real closely matched.

Nice trade! I agree about the color being the greatest loss

Petal Commander and you'll like the Pentastar just fine.

I'd miss that Yellow.

The Solar yellow happened to be the best deal I could find on a truck at the time, in 2016. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me with time. This gray on the Warlock is not exactly my favorite either. But the deal that was had, the color was just what it was.

The yellow made it easy to find it in a crowded parking lot, and also my boat is yellow (also the by-product on the best deal I could find at the time.)

My Classic 3.6 superseded my former '15 2500 5.7, and while I can't tow as heavy with the new truck (no longer farming, so no need for the extra capacity), I was very please with how the Pentastar did hauling a 6K lb. tractor I recently sold (with weight of trailer, I was probably close to my max tow rating). The Classic weighs 1K lb. less than the 2500, so it feels more nimble to me based on what I came from.
