New Truck

I have been on this forum for a couple of years now and not many of you know me since I more read then post but I had a 2011 Ram 2500 Hemi from Nov 2010 to Nov 2012. I traded it for my new 12 1500 Bighorn Hemi 4x4. I do have a question though when I put my 2500 in tow/haul mode ERS would automatically be activated but that is not the case on my 1500 was wondering why that was if any of you guys know? I am very used to tow/haul mode using ERS and was kind of surprised that my 1500 does not have it activate with tow/haul. I am enjoying the floor shifter and the auto rear window switch compared to the ST. Well anyway here is some pictures.

Yep, brain fart, lol...I never heard it ever coming on automatically with tow/haul on the 2500's. It must be a 2500 thing because for all 1500's, you have to hit the shifter in order to turn manual mode on.

So you're saying it is going into manual mode when you hit tow/haul? That is a beautiful looking blue! Congrats on the truck

My 2500 did yes but my 1500 does not and I do miss it. Thank you I like the Blue as well.

It did on my 2500 but it appears that Tow/haul still operates with manual mode on my 1500 when I hit the shifter which is good news.

My 2011 has a tow package on it and when you hit the tow/haul it looks like it goes into manual mode but it will actually automatically shift all the way t 5th. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies guys Truck is a month old with 600 miles on it and I have towed twice with it already and I am very impressed with it. Here is some updates I have done from tinting the front windows, Line-x and New Hemi Emblems.

Sweet ride! I have to manually shift to get auto shift as well.

I've got the same true blue pearl color on my Sport. This past weekend I was driving in the sun and as I came around a corner I saw a blue glow on a traffic sign--I thought I was getting pulled over or at least passing a cop. I was frantically looking all over for the blue flashers when I realized the reflection was from my purty blue truck.

Yes same on all 4th gens you hit tow/ haul the dash then displays top gear and you can choose if you want to limit it to say 4th or 5th depending on how many speeds you have of course. I use the manual shifter when towing in winter to downshift at stop lights so I don't have to worry about sliding through the intersection. Congrats on the truck OP.
