So guys, right now I'm running stock wheels with 315/70r/17 BF Goodrich A/T's. They only stick out of my wheel well maybe an inch or less. I'm not too familiar with offsets and stuff on new wheels. I don't wanna **** my braking system up or completely have to replace it in a year because I buy the wrong wheels for my truck. Does anyone have any pics or dimensions on wheels with higher offsets? Any info helps

Here's a pic of what I have now

A negative offset has nothing to do with your braking. It's ball joints and hub bearings that it would be harder on. But even at that, it's not near as bad as a lot of guys make it out to be.

What are you looking to do wheel/tire wise? Do you want to go bigger, wider, more stance, less stance? Unless you give us a bit of an idea of what you're wanting it's not possible to recommend anything.

Well right now I have 34's. I think I wanna go a size or two smaller with bigger/wider wheels. Something of the spacer look but I don't want spacers. So like a wide stance like those guys that have those stretched tires and the wheel is completely outside of the wheel well. I don't want that but something in that ball park with a beefier look. I'm sorry I'm very new to trucks and this stuff. I'm used to mustangs. Haha

9 inch wide wheels with a -12 offset and 12.5" wide tires seems to be a good middle area. Doesn't stick out too far as to be obnoxious, but is much wider than stock. That's what I have on mine and I wouldn't want them to be out any farther personally. There's a couple pictures of this size setup on my truck here, mine are 35s though:

But since you got me thinking about it, what's with the guys these days that stretch their tires on big ass lifted trucks? Gayest **** I've ever seen in my life lol. All the weight of a huge rim with all the traction of a skinny tire. And not to mention the first time that thing goes off road those wheels will be destroyed. Not that they'd ever take those mall crawlers off the pavement anyway.

Every time I see one of them all I can say or think is "he better be careful with daddy's money" haha. That defeats the purpose of your truck. You should be driving that Honda we all know you want if you're gonna do that.

I mean to each his own. I don't like the look but I don't judge.
