Good afternoon, I recently purchased a 2020 Laramie 2 diesel 2500 Mega Cab - so far it's a bit complicated coming from a Ford f350 7.3 2000.
1) Any suggestions, comments or suggestions?
2) Since this is my first dodge, it does seem to "ride" a little firm compared to the old girl 7.2.
3) Do most people use Uconnect or apple/android auto?
4) Is it normal to have a bit of lag at 40mph, it almost feels like it is in too high of a gear?

UConnect for mapping leaves much to be desired, AndroidAuto/CarPlay will give you real time and up to date road information.

If your not towing or hauling anything, lower the rear tire pressure as they're probably at 80 psi.

Follow the owners manual for maintenance, do Not get advice from social media groups (they will have you paranoid about everything). Leave the truck alone unless there is an issue and enjoy.
A inline 6 has a ton of torque so it's not going to be a high revving engine like a v8 ford so don't expect it to drive like a race car, it's more like a slow train.

I have that lag that is noticeable to me coming from an 8 speed ram 1500. I figure it just lugs a little here and there because it is a 6 speed and maybe could use another gear or two but it always pulls well and I usually get 20 on the highway when not towing, so I would say it is working like it is supposed to.

The RFE68 has a bit uneven gear stager between gears 3-4, that's most likely the "lag" that you feel. The Cummins has plenty of torque to pull through it.

try driving in tow haul mode see if that changes it to your suiting, report back.
