Howdy folks, just another newbie here. Currently living just near Calgary, Alberta. Since buying an RV a year ago I realized that I need to upgrade my tow vehicle, and after recently hopping into a friends 1500 Laramie I decided Ram is the truck I want.

I’m about 5 months away from hopefully purchasing a Ram 2500 6.7, still deciding on trim and it may be somewhat based on availability.
Thanks for having me and I look forward to learning from you all as this will be my first Ram truck after owning several Ford and Toyota trucks.

Try out a 3500 if you're going diesel. Essentially the same truck as a 2500 apart from a slightly stiffer ride empty and a lot more payload. Also, welcome to the forum.

I would love to, but I don’t have the garage space. I’m already cutting it very close getting the 2500 in. With the winters we have here, I definitely want it sleeping inside.

3500 is exactly the same size as the 2500. Everything on the truck is virtually the same apart from a heavier rear suspension. Not talking dually. Still the SRW.

Thanks, I must have looked at the wrong spec, I thought it was a bit longer. I will definitely consider the 3500.

Welcome, I am just up by Edmonton. I second the suggestion of going 3500 if you get the diesel. I will also strongly suggest you order it with power fold and power adjust mirrors. I did on mine and it is a damn good thing. It would be a major pain in the butt to get out and fold/unfold the mirrors every time I went in and out of the garage. (Three single wide doors. Garage is tall enough and long enough for the crew cab long box but it would be touch and go getting in with the mirrors deployed.)
