Good evening everyone,
Just looking for some thought on this topic. So yesterday, I bought a later model tailgate (I assume it's a 2014 to 2018), for my 2011 Dodge Ram 2500. Reason being is because the original tailgate on my truck was banged up pretty bad when I bought the truck, and I am pretty picky!
Anyway, it didn't come with a back up camera and I remember that on newer trucks, the tailgate locks when you lock the doors. My older camera obviously won't fit the newer release handle and it's got a different wiring harness and plug so here what I am thinking.
Is there any reason why I couldn't move the release handle / mechanism, harness and camera to this newer tailgate?
Thanks in advance!!
Kevin
