I had the Terra Grappler G2's.

Save your money!! I expect traction with an all terrain tire and these did not deliver.

The Ridge Grapplers are amazing new, but like others have mentioned something happens to them as they get down to the low wear tread that screams new tires!!

I've been researching this model for some time so other than the current pricing it's a win.

I'd save Ridge Grapplers for the 2500 and 3500. The tires are 80/lbs a piece!
Figures, just when I thought I had made up my mind haha.

I did some research yesterday on the Recons and I think I am sold. Especially since that tire has a mileage warranty and if I remember correctly the Ridge Grappler does not?

I did look up what I paid, my set Ridge Grapplers was almost $2000 not $1500, been a while haha. And you're right, prices on them now are insane. Wonder if it's because of the size I have.

If a guy can get 80k out of a set of tires then they absolutely are not for me. That tells me the tread is way to hard, compromising their traction in wet and cold climates.

Are you talking stomping on it at a redlight in the rain or doing 75-80 in the rain and having bad traction? Ive got a set of toyo rt open country on my work truck with over 100k.

Oh man those toyo’s are scary slick in cold wet conditions. We pulled them off most of our work trucks at 30k. Great summer dry conditions tire tho.

Was just checking nittos site, looks like the sizes are limited on the terra grappler g2 now and a lot more sizes for the recon grappler but no 305/55r20 xl tire! The size i use.
Ridge grappler still has the 305 xl though. Hope for more 305xl options when i need new ones.
