Hey all, got an issue with the ol Cummins. She’s a 98.5 24v nv4500 4x4. She’s my pulling truck that I’ve been daily driving since my daily ram is busted. Anyway, I have turn signals, hazards, parking lights and headlights. All lights but brake lights and reverse lights. I don’t care about reverse lights because that’s probably the trans sensor. I’ve replaced the brake switch, bulbs, fuses and still no lights. I’m not sure what wires do what at the brake switch though. I guess long story short that’s the info I’m looking for haha

I realize your post is a month old, but you got no answers so here goes:

About 8 years ago I had an identical problem with my 2001 2WD Ram 5.9L. Turned out that acid/corrosion from the battery had been dripping down onto the wiring harness under the battery, exposing bare wires after eating through the wiring insulation.

Fixed it and never had a problem again.

Hope this helps someone.
