Hmm... So you have the hard starting issues no matter if the engine is cold or at operating temperatures?

Oh... I see you have 2 threads started for this issue. I'll look at the other thread.
the engine starts almost normal and idles if cold. when it's hot/warm, I hear a hissing that goes away after minute or so while I am keeping the engine running with the gas pedal .

1997 and older have 2 different coolant temp sensors on the front of the manifold. The single wire sensor is what you'll see on the gauge. The double wire is what the PCM uses.

IAT sensor won't cause these issues

Did you by chance hit the back of the alternator with your ratchet when you were replacing the sensor? If so It could be a shorted alternator
