NV246 vs NV244 Difference

Hi

I read online that the NV246 was an optional transfer case in 2006.

Beyond saying it was ‘electric’ I can’t find much written on the difference between the NV244 and NV266.

What’s the key difference?

In case I ever need to replace my transfer case are they interchangeable?
