Odd question

So I lifted my truck using the bilstein 5100 shocks and set them to 2.8 but I just realized the passenger tire is sticking out about an inch maybe 1.5 inches further than the driver side. I did have it aligned 2 separate times but it is still sticking out and the alignment shop said that everything checks out but it is kinda bothering me. Any ideas what could be causing it to stick out like that?

Wow.. that's a kinda huge amount.

Can you take a couple photos of the cam bolts (front and rear) on your lower control arms? Did you install any other parts other than the Bilstein lift struts?

Nope just the lift struts but yeah I can get a few photos and post them.

You said it's the passenger side that's sticking out farther; are the alignment cams on the driver side vastly different? The position of your passenger side cams actually looks pretty good (still room to move in either direction) for the 2.8" increased ride height. Does your truck sit level? (Perhaps measure from the rim to the fender on the rear wheels while parked on a known, truly flat surface)

Don't want to send you on any wild goose chases here.. just trying to help out.

The front sits alittle higher than the back. I’m 90 percent sure that it’s on truly flat ground but I don’t have a level to really check but the driver rear tire is 12.25 inch the passenger rear is 12.75 the driver front is 12.75 and the passenger front is 13.0. These measurements are all from the top of the rim itself to the bottom of the fender. Also here are the bolts for the driver side .

Agree but I don't know when he last had it in for alignment or how fast rust works in places where that happens.

They must have aligned it at some point when the lift was installed, no way it went from stock height to +2.8" without pointing the wheels in different directions. He'd notice it wandering all over the road.

We would be able to tell if camber and caster were dlaled in or not if the OP will post the alignment sheets. its possible the shop may have done a toe and go job.

I went ahead an measured the distance between my fender and the edge of the front/rear tires as i was curious

Driver front: 1 3/4" sticking out
Passenger front :2"
so it's only 1/4" more on the passenger side in my case
Driver rear: 1 5/8"
Passenger rear: 1 5/8"
I'm a little **** with the rear trackbar

I did have it originally on the 2.1 setting and had it aligned but then decided to change it to 2.8 lol. But it was done twice. I will have to look for the sheet because I’m kinda curious now that you said it doesn’t look like it was touched.

Now I'm more confused than before. Those cam bolts/nuts legit look like they haven't been touched and we can assume they were already rusty before you brought it in for alignment, so putting a socket on them would necessarily scuff up the rust at the points of contact. Then in the last 2 months maybe it rusted a little more but wouldn't the scuffing from the tools still be visible?
