Ok so a few times now, 3 to be exact, my truck has started with difficulties. Here's the scenario) I put the key in and turned it so the truck dings 3 times and I started it but really didn't hold the key long enough, like half a crank cycle, and my truck will start but die right away. Then its a b*tch to start afterwards. Either I have to wait 5 minutes or more and try again or start it and hold the throttle until the engine seems to "catch" and run fine.

Now last night I did everything normal and started my truck, but it then died right away as if I cranked it over for half a cycle. I had to hold the throttle at about 1,600-1,800 rpms for a minute for the dang engine to keep running. Now I don't know if a sensor is going bad or my fuel filter is plugged up or something but has anyone else had this problem before?

It almost sounds like the injectors are dumping on start up and it's "flooding" so to speak.

I had a similar issue to the one you described. For the, it was the IAC at the back of the throttle body. Easy enough to take out and clean really well and if that doesn't fix it, try a new one.
All I can say is that fixed my very similarly sounding problem. Can't say there is a way to test the IAC motor either.

Hmm how do I test the injectors on these trucks? And my IAC is clean since I worked on my t body. I know my tps sensor isn't the best but I don't know if that adds to the issue.

TPS can cause problems. If you know that it's been an issue, replace it.

Alright so my truck acted up again starting it this morning. I replaced the tps with a new mopar unit and still acted up. I know my IAC is clean so what else could be the issue? I reused injectors on my rebuild but could that affect anything? I have no codes either

I replaced the IAC with a new mopar unit so I'll see if that helps things out.
