My hood was stock and i thought it was only something like $799 but i could be wrong. I wish it was functional though but it does look good :)

It says 799 as an option but when you try to buy it at the dealer it goes to 13-1500 thats what i was going to do on my express then they told that

But ive never seen a cheap one unless it was a trade for the regular hood and some cash good luck with the find

I'm not sure how much they're going for so I don't know how much I'd charge and I actually need someone to commit to buying it so I can go ahead and order the hood I want and when that gets to me I can ship my hood so I won't be without one

Just jumping in here. I just bought a 2012 ST but I had a 2005 1500 Daytona and I made the "viper" hood functional even though it wasnt supposed to be. Is there a way to make your sport hood functional? just get rid of the inserts and fabricate an air box? or something? Again, I have only seen the sport hood in pictures. I havent had time to check one out in person but maybe I will. The ram air affect really helps in both power and mileage. Well, it did for me, anyhow.

You can't really make the sport hoods functional. There are cross members in the way underneath. All you could do is drill out the honeycombs to let air (and rain) under your hood. My express came with one. I like the way it looks.

I would imagine a stock OEM would be about $1k minimum. I know the GM WS6 hood for 98-02 Trans Am's were selling over $1 with my discount. I wanted a suncoast but they were also pricey so I picked up a plain aftermarket and modded it. If the aftermarket companies start making them it will cause a price drop I mean my CertiFit WS6 replacement hood only set me back $250. Looked good but needed a little finishing like most do.

When I got in an accident and needed a new hood, I asked about the sport hood and they told me through the dealer they were like $1250!!
