First off, Female here who’s not afraid to get her hands dirty but doesn’t want to do it myself. I have a 2021 RAM 1500 Laramie etorque that I’ve added a grille guard, small lift, bigger tire and a few cosmetics.
I’m in need of an oil change shortly. I’m having to make a two week long road trip in a week. I’ll hit the oil change mileage about 500 miles into my trip. I live in a small town and can get just a basic oil change no problem. But with getting to my 1 year anniversary with my new truck and about 13,000 miles, should I be taking it elsewhere for a more complete service and inspection? I do know it needs a few items at 20,000. As a general rule, I change oil every 5000 miles.
I have checked in with the dealer and they can’t fit my truck in. I will be staying a few days within a reasonable distance of a dealer. If I were your mother or sister who doesn’t live near you, what would you recommend?
