Oil Filter Concern

The RL 5w30 makes my 4.7 idle rough. I'm gonna leave it in because it cost so much!

My 2013 4.7 loved Redline 5W-20,but it was on Redline from it's first oil change at 500 miles.Put a catch can on your 4.7,in my opinion they need one more then the Hemi's do.

John: Maybe! Just Maybe it's something else causing this issue!

Maybe a dirty throttle body or mass air flow sensor?
Possibly a very small vacuum leak?
How many total miles did you accumulate on the RL?

Go back and re-read what Syn said in his last post, the science of redline is it takes time to be smoothed out and give that smoothness.

I can deal with the idle, but the motor sounds like it doesn't have any oil in it after driving for a while on next start up. I have tried Castro 5w30 full synthetic did the same thing. I'm going back to conventional 5w30

you are right SYN it takes about 2000 to make a good plate i had the problem with the tick and now is going very happy with R.L. oil
