I bought out my AAP of all the fram titanium FS2s they had. 4 bucks each all wire backed media im set thru 2029 on the ram with the 2 ultra XG2s and i got a boss 24651 and a carquest EP for the ram to
I think you may have wiped them out!

Everywhere I look, even Home Delivery, is showing "out of stock".

I have 7 of the 20-820 filters and My 5k OCI is about 10 months, for a 70 month supply. So 70 months or almost 6 years. I also still have a PBL-24651 in the box. I'm starting to wonder if my Ram (or even me) will last as long as my oil filter supply.

I have 3 Fram XG filters left (FE and XG were apparently the same thing in the Canadian market). Suppose I'm going to have to find something new. We'll see how this works.

Here's the cheap one that came with the oil cooler assembly.

Keep an eye on it when you pull that Amsoil filter out, I ran one in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for about 4000 miles and when I took it out it was very collapsed looking. I emailed Amsoil and they said it was normal. I just didnt like the way it seemed to be restricting flow but it didn't seem to affect anything, the oil pressure was normal and it ran fine.

Again, just something to keep an eye out for, those are good filters.

I've been using these things for years. Both have a rating of 99% @ 20 microns, are cheap and i've never had trouble with availability.

I just order half a dozen of whichever is cheaper at the moment.

Bosch 3410 and Purolator One PL24651 About 10$ each and always available.

They're both big and might not fit some of the newer trucks. Mine is a 2013 with the 65RFE, so no heat exchanger in the way.

Amazon says the puro boss 24651 doesn’t fit a 2021ram 1500 5.7 . Is this correct?
There are two sizes filters in 4 gens, fca spec'd a smaller filter in mid/late 4 gens, but nearly every guy with those trucks has said the larger filter still fits.

My 2021 Ram is a 5th Gen. I have installed an oil filter relocation kit, so a bigger filter should not be a concern. Thank you for your reply

They raised the price on the new top choice and took the coupon off, lol 12.49 yesterday 16.85 today. The word is out now they know they are the last man standing. If you get a shot store up oil filters, you will either pay more or miss out. You still can get fram xg's on ebay, some others located in China, maybe China still making xg's dunno.

only 6 left 20-820 clone fe2.

I currently have 4 20-820s, 1 SRT, 2 MO-899, and a Puro Boss that I bought to try several years ago. The only thing that concerns me about the Puro is the louvered holes appear to be quite thin which is why its sitting on the shelf right now.

So if you do get the Puro Boss, check the louvers...

I googled around for a while and can't find any information about suppliers planning to cover the lost Fram & Champion filter volumes.

All the big wigs are maintaining radio silence. Damn the customers.

2 OG XG2s, 4 FS2s, 1 carquest ep 84372, 1 wix 57063 (SRT), 1 puro boss 24651 here. And a 9 year old eaO11 that looks like it might have a touch of some rust on the baseplate

Hep me out and let me be lazy folks.
No availability of the FE 1165 Synthetic Endurance ( V6 Pentastar). However I can grab a few XG 1165 Ultra Synthetic for the V6. Seems as though I remember somewhere back in this thread that the XG series ( 20,000 mile ) was a decent filter. No way I would go that many miles on a filter but I might do 10,000 miles.
I am thinking of grabbing a few of the XG Ultra synthetic series.
Please offer up your thoughts.
I am still running Fram Ultra XG filters in both our Pentastar Jeeps.

I just did an oil change in the Wrangler and the filter went a full 6000 miles.

It still looked to be in good shape when I took it out and I put in another XG.

The filter media is white on my stock of XG's and doesn't look like paper to me but who knows.

I can safely say if it is white, it is synthetic media. Since champ labs is dead and gone, we need to find out if their Greenville, Ohio plant has the capability and desire to make their top filters XG and Fe and titanium. A much bigger problem for fram is every auto parts supplier that I know already taking them off the shelf.

Greenville is closing - I think I read @ end of April. Still no buyer. Prospective buyers want all the assets for nothing, and none of the debts the previous scam owner accrued.

Look for a vulture capitalist to buy the parts at fire sale prices in bankruptcy court, and sell them to survivng filter makers at market prices for a huge profit. I don't see the plant ever reopening, thanks to financial hucksters. Probably just killed what was left of making filters in the U.S. Maybe Donaldson still does.

Who would want to buy the name Fram? Especially when all of the auto stores already moved on from them, only places left super stores like wally or Amazon. Maybe the sham wow guy should buy it and change the name to bam, new great new bam wow oil filter, who's in? Oh wait that was Emeril, he ain't gonna buy it either.

I found a place that sells Donaldson filters that actually has a decent inventory and pricing. All my regional vendors had none of the hydraulic oil filter I need in stock - for weeks.

Give this site a try (I have no interest whatsoever in them beyond trying to find a damn filter in stock!):
