Do the wix XP filters normally come with wrapped in plastic, or at least over the open end of the filter?

I didn't look. I was just curious because these ones didn't have any type of wrap on them and it struck me as kind of odd. I bought a 57899xp and 57060xp. Wasn't sure if the bigger 57899 was going to fit, so wanted to have to normal on standby just in case. The 57060xp looks terrible, paint is flaking off all around the outer edge and I'm reluctant to use it.

This is what it looked like. It's also a mexico made filter. The other one is a USA made filter..

I'm not installing this filter. I'm going to pick up a carquest EP to have on hand in case the larger filter does not fit. Honestly, just tempted to send both back and pick up 2 of the carquest... Or keep the one wix as a flush filter...

Made in China/or Vietnam ... I've cut one these filters open awhile back for a peak inside, but don't remember what I seen. I'll have to get another one an take a look at it for arguments sake ...
Vietnam by PGI or some 3 letter company.

The Carquest is hardd to find at stores. Ship to home might be easier.
The Premium is good for 10K and has the same micron rating.

It'll fit. I just installed one on my 2019 classic. It's not as easy, but it's not hard either.
Technically I'm running the wix 57899xp, but it's the same size filter.
Exactly. Come in from front and it works. Funny, I just changed the oil on my 19 classic today with FE2.

I’m currently running that P85372 filter on my 2500 6.4 and there is plenty of room for it for both installation and removal.
I’m seeing a slight increase in oil pressure at idle 29 vs 31 psi, but maybe within the margin for error.

I guess the filters are going on sale now since motor oil is in short supply. Word is Walmart is running really low on stock.

I got three jugs of PUP delivered from Walmart around a week ago. Their ad said short supplies. Must have been. The oil deliveries came from two different stores.

I'm showing the same price but all Puro Boss oil filters are showing Out Of Stock, in-store or local delivery, or shipped.

I could give away all my oil filters for FREE if I didn't have any.

I went back to their website to have a look. Now the $4 price is gone and back to regular price. But in stock haha. Whatever.
