Oil Leak issue 5.7 intake manifold - Maybe?

As for the solenoids, for sure not leaking. When I had the intake off they were dry. The oil under the intake leaked by the side where I have shown in the photos. In regards to the oil control valve, was dry there also. I'm getting this oil only in the same spot as I have with the 2 previous intakes. Between cylinders 4 & 6 and to be quite honest, it looks like it's leaking from the injector, but by covering up the head that I stated above, it didn't come up to the injector. I have ran this truck at an idle, I have had my son put it in gear, brake on and rev the truck and do not see an oil leak. Only when we drive it and stop the oil leak shows. It's very frustrating to say the least. Thanks for your help and if any more ideas please let me know!

And thanks to everyone who is replying, I do not intend to ignore you just has been very frustrating and having a heck of a time figuring this out.

Question for anyone who would know. New Injector O-rings aren't out of the question and for my case could be a good idea. Anyone know how much torque on the fuel rail? I can't seem to find that answer.

Hey so here I am again. So I thank all those who have helped. I decided to take the valve cover off and I do believe my son and I have found the issue. I will post the pics and you will see that the head had "markings" of the valve cover gasket all the way around the head (black residue) but where it is leaking, there is no residue and looking at the valve cover gasket, shows that the gasket was pinched in 2 places, maybe 3. Tomorrow I will pick up a Mopar gasket, $88.80 for the passenger side and will install and post back. I have included the photos. Any other ideas still will help but at this point it's the way I think is the issue. Fingers crossed. Also these 2 bolts that were holding the valve cover down where the oil was were extremely tight.. way too tight..

The dealer will hurt,but you might also want to replace the gaskets on the plug tubes while you have it apart.

Yes I see that and probably a good idea. I will have to just to make sure. I will update tomorrow on the progress.

So you think use Mopar gaskets for the valve covers?

At this point, might be the best choice.

Wonder if you have any oil in the plug wells.

96 in-lbs/ 8 ft-lbs ,I use a 1/4" drive rachet and just go snug on them

If you do decide to use a click-type torque wrench, and the torque wrench you have is a cheapie, test it out on something you know is tight first to get a feel for that setting, and to see if the wrench is functioning properly.

I had a cheap clicker one and broke a small bolt on my '02 ram because it didn't click, and it didn't really feel like I was overtorquing it. Just about shat myself, and luckily was able to get the broken part out. I always check now.

But, as Rick said, snug is just about right on for 8 ft-lbs.

Also, if you can wait, get the part #s from your dealer, and check RockAuto or even Benny on this site.

Sometimes you can save a bunch on the OE stuff.

My dealer wanted $270 each for the front hubs for my '15, but RockAuto had the same OE hubs for $165 each, plus shipping. You never know.

Might want to check that valve cover flange with a straight edge.

Hey everyone. I'm back. So wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the help. It's been a hair pulling experience and at least I have enough to pull out. Yes the Mopar valve cover gasket and new plug tube gaskets and some cursing and hoping and just got back from a drive and NO LEAK. I am at this point shocked and happy to say the least. Judging from the condition of the valve cover gasket and the markings on the head, I absolutely installed the last one and it some how got twisted. Again many thanks as all the advice was used to try to see how this issue I had could be fixed. Do take care everyone. If it starts to leak again, I will be back to let you all know. Take care all!!!
