Truck is 3 months old and has a little over 2000 miles on it when I checked the oil today it looked way too dark for my comfort. This is my first diesel. Is this normal for a 6.7?

Diesel oil is design to carry the normal combustion process soot in suspension with the oil. Goes well diggers ******* black in short time after a fresh oil change and is perfectly normal.
I was trying to think of how to describe the color and "well diggers *******" fits it perfectly. lol. Thanks.

Yes that is very normal. I would change the oil & filter on my 95 diesel, run it and check for leaks. I would then check the oil level and it was as black on the dipstick as the oil I just changed. It's a diesel thing.
