My 2016 2500 6.4 Hemi oil temp is getting HOT hot all the way to 300 degrees. It has an engine oil cooler. I can find NO info online. Not even a how to on changing the oil cooler. Could the oil cooler be the issue?

Coolant running at 220 you have an issue too, I'd get a 180 t stat. Engine oil will always run hotter under long trips or heavy loads because oil doesn't dissipate heat as easily as coolant or water, but it should only be 15-25 degrees max. You start running oil over 250f, you will start to see problems, especially cooling gas engines at those temps 250f-300f, the engine is in a higher state of death.I have a 2020 6.4 and my oil temp always runs higher than coolant temps. Not 300* but still high. Coolant temps run high 220's. Tranny never goes over 170
My buddy's 2020 runs exactly the same. I think it is normal for new rigs. Be unlikely we would both get one with an issue.Coolant running at 220 you have an issue too, I'd get a 180 t stat.
