I'm inclined to buy a tank to use as a backup in case my compressor fails. Probably overkill, but.....
My last 2 trucks I bolted to the frame and the 2 I have in my cart now are water tight enough to be submersible as well.if you're only using it to air up tires, what would be the benefit of having a tank? I have a dual arb mounted in the engine of my 2012 and I'm looking to do something similar on my 2019 but might be it elsewhere. where is everyone mounting it? I don't want to put it in the bed and I don't have ram boxes so it needs to be in the engine bay or possible interior
I’m going with ARB because the CFM is the highest in its class. I’m looking at recovery bags now, since I will have the tanks and the volume to fully inflate a bag or two.I don’t have ram boxes but I have space under my cover on my tool box. his set up is pricey though https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0050DI9YQ/ref=psdc_155346011_t1_B0050DIA1I
Found this cage for mounting the ARB.
nice find. I might find this useful for my setupFound this cage for mounting the ARB.
Exactly what I have. You'll love it,
Unfortunately no air hose or connections comes in the box. And the power harness is only 6 feet. I went all 1/2 line and (2) 2-1/2 gallon tanks.

Still in the box. I have to fabric another bracket to hold it. Plus two air hose quick connects for each side.Where is the other tank?
