When I load my truck camper I have to have my air bags fully deflated and max out the camper jacks to have enough clearance to back under the camper. Once I air up the bags the camper jacks don't touch the ground. That means when I go camping I can't unload the camper without deflating the bags. My solution is to install an on board air system so I can air up and down as needed and be able to remove the camper at will.

Now the question is which system do I go with? I narrowed it down to either a Viair Heavy Duty OBA (https://www.viaircorp.com/oba/oba-heavy) or the Air Lift Wireless Air (https://www.airliftcompany.com/products/compressor-systems/wirelessair/).

Pros of the Viair Heavy Duty is it has a 2.5 gallon tank you can use to run pneumatic tools or air up tires (albeit very slowly). Also has a higher quality compressor than the Air Lift.
Pros of the Air Lift Wireless Air is you use a wireless remote control to air up and down with the touch of a button from inside the truck. They system constantly monitors the pressures and keeps it at your predetermined setting. Completely hands free.

Cons of the Viair is you would have to manually air up and down the air bags by hand and figure out a place to mount the air tank and connections.
Cons of the Air Lift is you don't have an air tank so you can't run any tools or air up any tires.

They both cost almost the exact same amount (around $350 on Amazon). What would you do?

Couldn't you add an airtank with the airlift and just plumb it in line? It would just have one more thing to fill, but...
Honestly I don't know much about that system. I ordered the Viair Constant Duty system for my truck but it's only for the tires.

My buddy uses the Airlift WirelessOne compressor for his 2500, it works out nice and he can adjust air pressure if needed while traveling.
I use one of these: Fineed Portable Air Compressor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MBFYVVW/
It works fine for as much as I use it, if towed more I would probably go with the WirelessOne
There is also the air horn option: https://kleinn.com/ram-systems/
then you can add solenoids to inflate your airbags: http://www.airbagit.com/

I have the constant duty (had it in my H2). It will not run air tools, but will run it's little heart out to air up tires.

I will vouch for reliability of the Viair systems. I got a Viair 100% duty cycle compressor about 15 years ago with a 2.5 gallon tank. Had it mounted in my Jeep for airing up tires. I sold the Jeep years ago, but kept the compressor and mounted it to a board for carrying around. I don't use it that much, but it still works like a champ anytime I do.

If I remember correctly, you can order the controller from airlift, and mount into any compressor system, but it would probably be cheaper to buy it all from one place.

The best solution would be a Viair compressor and tank with the Air Lift remote system. I bet I could build it all piece part wise but it would probably double the cost. From what I read the Air Lift compressor is not rated to fill an air tank. I think I saw it's only like 9% duty cycle or something.

Why don't you get extensions for your jacks? Happy Jack and Titan both sell extensions.

Go Viair. Add auto level valve with an electric dump valve and have the best of all.

Extensions for the jacks? That sounds promising. I cannot find anything like that on their websites. Do you have a link where I can get more info?

klien does sell the system without the air horns. plus it includes a remote quick disconnect so you can hook up tools. here are the specs from there site. i am considering them for when i go with hellwig airbags for my power wagon since the stock springs are too soft for any real payload/towing applications. i am also waiting on super springs to get back to me on their replacement 2500 coils that show a springs rate of 2475#

FWIW the klien compressor is a 150 PSI compressor100% duty cycle and come with a 3 gallon air tank.

here are the links to both..

Google "happijac leg extension" and multiple vendors will show up with 6" extensions. Can't post a link due to not wanting to get in trouble with paying vendors.

I didn't find anything for Reico-titan right off but I think they exist also. Ask the vendor that start with E you found with the other search. ;)

Wow for $1k that must be one heck of a compressor. The comparable ultra duty kit from Viair is $450.

I'm really going to have to do my homework to plan out a good solution for this. Might just make it a winter project while the camper is in storage.

I noticed the viair is a 200psi system as well. They recommend their dual air compressors to run air tools
