Only 3 doors lock

2023 Ram 1500 Big Horn with a door lock issue. Whether I lock the doors with the fob or lock button all four doors appear to lock and the Ram app confirms all are locked. All doors cannot be opened from the outside (while locked) except the front passenger door. It opens as if the doors are unlocked triggering the break-in alarm and the Ram app sends me security alerts.

I’ve taken the door panel off and everything looks good and all components move as expected. The door latch / actuator appears to be a sealed unit and nowhere as simple as the older models.

I’m looking for advice on what to look for here before I drop it off at the dealer this week as lead times are 2-3 days.

Replaced the lock actuator and issue resolved.

2024 Bighorn Quadcab, driver rear door does not lock. (Makes me wonder if it ever locked.) Truck delivered in December. Thought truck was unlocked in yard today and opened door to put something on rear seat. Alsrm went off. So deactivated alsrm with key fob. Then relocked doors with key fob. Rear door on driver side still opened, setting off alarm. Trip to dealer this week.

Update: Lock working again, not sure why, but will double check when locking truck for the foreseeable future.

While this failure to lock condition was happening, did you try manually pushing the lock button downwards on the problem door?

I'm experiencing this same issue. If I manually push the door lock button downwards, it stays locked until the next global unlock event.

At least I can maintain a secure perimeter on the truck until it's repaired.

I need to schedule a stealership appointment for the warranty repair.
