So, I'm looking for opinions.

I've got a 2014 Ram 1500 crew cab with the 8speed and 3.21 gears. I use it as a DD, and also pull a trailer loaded with atvs and a sxs several times throughout the year. I would estimate roughly 4-5k pounds max weight.

I'm looking at the Zone 6/5 lift and will be adding 5100s and probably go ahead and get the Zone uca as well.

I'm wanting a nice stance, and will go with cooper stt pro in a 35x13.50r 20 or either a 20x10 or 20x12 wheel.

First off, does anyone see any problems with this setup as far as fitment, towing, etc..

I've also thought about adding a 1.5 zone bl to the mix and step up to a 37" tire. I know milage will suffer, as well as starting/stopping power. Being as how the truck is a 2014 model, I'll say it's unlikely I would look for a gear swap during to the front diff issues. Anyone have any first hand experience with a 37" tire and 3.21 gears that they would like to share?

Thanks, Daniel

I've asked the same question and the response I got from most people was NOT to do 37 with 3.21. I have a 15 with 3.21 and I did the 6" with 35 an I will say the trans don't always like it. The get up an go is still good but when running 70-75mph it won't always shift into 8th and sometimes won't even go to 7th depending on how the road is. 37 would be alot for 3.21... but it would look cool!

Just a few things to point out. Depending on the offset of your wheels, you may have issues with a 13.5" wide tire.

You mentioned a body lift and 37s. Just in case you didn't know, you can clear 37s with the 6" lift alone.

35s with 3:21 sucks. I tow my other truck quite often, and it's got me to the point of putting my truck for sale and staying with a stock 3:92 or just going with a cummins.

Probably wouldn't go with 37s. Unless you have short drives and don't mind being at 4000rpms on a 3% grade, doing 70mph

As much as I hate to say it, I'll probably just stick with a 6 and 35s. I had an 09 silverado with a 9" suspension & 1.5 bl that towered 37s and loved the look. At least I could regear that truck with ease. Thanks mopar

I must be dense because I simply am not understanding the desire to your daily driver, the vehicle you depend on to get your around, daily, without hassles. Then waste what gearing you do have, namely highway gas mileage getting maximizing 3:21's, on a lift & big tires.

If the poor truck is not already overwhelmed, with increased wind resistance from the lift and significantly increased unsprung weight of the larger tires. Let's try to kill it, just a tad bit faster, by expecting it to work even harder, towing your 5,000# trailer full of toys.

Only 5 gallons of **** will fit into a 5 gallon bucket.
Want to put 10 gallons in a bucket?
Then get a 10 gallon bucket.

You got 3:21's, combined with the 8 speed, that truck will pull your toy trailer superbly, in darn near every possible scenario, without headache, and faithfully, for a very long time.

Start loading it down with a super lift, vs nice little 2.8 bilstein lift, and increaseing the unsprung weight of the tries, the truck is not going to do so well.

Enjoy your fuel savings. keep the same size tires or slightly larger 275/65R20 Michelin Defender LTX M?S, not alto of unsprung weight difference but load range e and 24.1" rubber.

35" to 34" from 10-100 ft away no one is going to notice.

I truly do not want to upset you but flat out am not getting any of this.
I must be just too damn old to see it.

If you really want all that stuff, then get a drive train that can handle it AND still do all you need for it do, on a dependable and daily basis.
