I am noticing the slight flashing. I assume that means I need to put the other pieces inline correct?

Yes. The capacitors need to be installed to reduce/eliminate the flashing. Mine reduced it a lot.

Cool, I thought the capacitors were the red flat rectangle things. It's slight so you have to look to see it but it does flash with motor running.
