Well, I guess I will just order the H10 fogs then return or find someone local that wants 9006's.

You're fine...the guide says I'm supposed to use H10 too and didn't. All it is, is getting a brighter bulb. I have quads and so does AB, we both are using 9006's.

Okay time will tell :)

So they advertise they have a touch of blue. How is it in person? I'm generally not a blue headlight fan, that is mega blue. I don't mind a touch though...

I have a 2016 and just put the OPT7 9006 LED Fluxbeam in my fogs. Only thing is that once you put them in and twist them to lock they are rotated about 45deg from where it would need to be. Do they make a different offset lock ring so they will have the leds facing up and down(12:00 and 6:00) rather than pointing at 1:30 and 7:30 positions.

Dude...I'm sorry, it's been a long day, thought I read lows not fogs.

If you have vertical fogs, put them in so they are straight horizontally (3 & 9). If you look at the reflector trays, they are the opposite of your horizontal lows and highs housing. I did mine that way and they are fine.

Try it again. Mine are perfectly horizontal.

Same difference.. Lol

They are not 1 and 7.

If yours are 3-9 and mine are 12-6... Then he just put them in wrong.

Agreed, just was wondering if you did flip them so I could ask about the difference, but nevermind haha

What is the diff anyway? Why does a bulb matter to the physical orientation of the lamp? Maybe the mounting ring is slightly different.

So you got 9006 fogs and were supposed to get what ones?

Different tabs in the bulb inlet.

You might be able to file it down for it too fit. Just compare it to your stock fog bulbs.

Is that supposed to be true for a 2014 too? Not trying to be a ****, but I didn't have to do anything to get them to fit. I do understand little things change every year pretty much, so just curious.

Took a quick cruise to check the headlights since I aimed them yesterday before it was truly dark out. Definitely glad I decided to lower them and have my tech buddy double check them. I guess Saturday I didn't think they were that bad, but after aiming them, I'm now very sorry to that lady in the tiny Honda I was behind for 2 miles. I no longer see any light in the cars in front of me at all, which is an improvement from some on Saturday. My neighbor across the street whose house was illuminated like a swat standoff in the pics also just came over to say thanks haha.

Yea how do you adjust them? I see two screws under the o-ring but they seem to thread into the light not like a set screw.

You shouldn't need to do anything but pull the entire thing back out and re-set them in the fog housing. Before placing the light in...don't have them perfectly horizontal or vertical depending on which way you want them. If you want them vertical, start them at an angle so when you rotate them in they end up perfectly up and down.

EDIT: If you want them horizontal, do the same thing, start them a little early when putting them into the housings and rotate so they lock perfectly horizontal.

Got it, well I know there is a thread you can find if you google search 9006 fogs that shows to modify them to fit a 2012. I saw it the other day when searching for info for mine.

I'll have a look, not against some physical manipulation as long as I feel I can get it to mount correctly. So is it the same bulb just different mounting tabs and such?

Forgive my ignorance but what does it matter which way they face? I could possibly see horizontal being tight in a vertical physical oriented fog housing like in the newer sports. But it must be performance related to earn the discussion?

Remember any key words used in that search? Lemme know if you see it again :)

Never had HID's. My buddy did in his Gen 2 CTD I borrowed for a week. I felt they light up the road good and noticed a blue ish tint to the field of view. They were ok but I never felt they were anything special and I didn't think the projected/broadcast a ton of light. They were too blue for my liking, I did not like how it made the road/everything look.

Well I got an "shot gun" approach email from OPT7 about ordering the 9006 fog when I needed the H11. They said they have had many injuries over this holiday season so they must ship from China just passing through their new year holidays. Can't modify because shipping is so fast which it did ship. I'll see if I can make it work or just order the right ones for $30 ...
