Yep, spin the t20 screw, if you can see the threads moving, the you have some work to do. Enjoy.

If there are any questions, please ask em in that thread, for others to see :)

The aim adjustment screw?

Doesn't my stopping tab and Austin's appear to be in two different locations? Therefore creating two different positions when bulb is seated...

the white locking tab should have a set screw in it to keep it in place. I removed mine and with pressure inserted the bulb and then spun the light

You guys are starting to get me nervous mine are messed up haha. I got mine perfectly vertical without any issues and so far don't have any problems with them. It took some patience to sit them correctly without any mods, but I did it. Getting the fogs perfectly horizontal was a pain, but that's due to the access...I also realize I'm the only one running them horizontal too.

Well can you be specific about your bumper stops. Did you insert the large tab at the top and slightly turn it in towards radiator and that tab comes to rest nearly vertical making the bulb vertical? Compare my pic to Austin's. My stop is clearly on the outside towards amber turn signal while Austin's stop is clearly up to and slightly towards the radiator. So where is your stop?

I can get mine 100% vertical. I just had to trim the large tab and insert it into one of the bottom tabs. Then I twist and the large tab comes to a rest nearly vertical but at the bottom this time instead of the top. Before I trimmed it I had only one option as the larger tab only had fit into one tab. I would be interested to her where everyone's stops are and if it changed between 2012 and 2013...

I don't think the stops changed from year to year. Here's my theory:

Halogen lights project light all the way around where as the LED's are projecting light from the left and right side where the diodes are located. So, that's why they are so picky for being EXACTLY 9/3 for the light to reflect on the headlight housing to project onto the road evenly. So, when the factory is putting these headlights together with stock halogens, it doesn't matter where the "stops" are located because a halogen bulbs projects light all the way around. I don't think anyone's headlight "stop" is in the exact same spot as someone else's unless by coincidence. I hope this makes sense and again it's just my theory. I just got lucky that my aftermarket black wall headlights had the stops where I didn't have to trim anything and was able to mount my LEDs properly.

That makes sense Adam. IT would seem OPT7 would then have some instructions as I assume they want people to get the intended performance out of them.

Either way trimming the large tab was very easy and now allows any tab to go into any slot multiplying the mounting/bulb seating options.

I will say these things are bright! Look damn good too with that nice ice white with slight slight blue tint to it.

Next up is some customs DRLs. Does anyone have any good links to tapping into existing wires for custom DRLs? I am interested in my DRLs coming on with truck but also staying on with headlights.

Has anyone baked a headlight also? I tried the stock tail light but the outer plastic cover/lens sagged in toward bulbs slightly. And that was only 190 degrees and I read to do headlights at 215 I think. Obviously a good study before doing so is called for...

Me personally, I'd stay away from putting anything over your headlights. I have tinted covers over my fogs to keep the "non-chrome" look going but would really like to do away with them and find some black-walled fog light housings. My truck has just the black walls on them and they look tinted. But just my opinion, I've heard of many people not liking the tint on the headlights.

Yea no tints :)

I am talking about taking headlights apart and doing the DRLs like Oracle or others. Surely some of you like the Oracle look yes? I think on the non PJ housing it looks mean!

So anyone care to explain EXACTLY how to get this bulb vertical? One of the tabs is meant to fit into only one slot being bigger than the other two. So there is only one technical way to seat the bulb. Now I see how trimming that one bigger tab so any tab will fit into any hole could help. But even then I mocked up the options and none would seat correctly being vertical. Unless you all are seating them just barely locked in and not fully seated.

Remove the set screw on the side of the LED. Put the led in the headlight the right way and then it will freely rotate without that set screw. It is pretty tight but it will move to where you want the LEDs to face.

I would not trim the tabs. OPT may not accept it if you decide to ever return it or have a warranty claim.

If you have any issues with the LEDs, then put back the set screw and return. That's what I did when I returned them.

Dont see why not.

Mud or filtered rain water, either way they allow water into the housing.

I wasnt hitting puddles full speed either, because I don't like my engine bay to be caked.

Normal speed.

But on top of that, one of the low beam bulbs isnt working.. Ive emailed them 3 days ago, so far...nothing.

Well got them all installed! Looks SOOOO much better than nasty yellow lights! H10 fogs I think I can tell not as bright as 9006 but still decent. I'm not a light snob so good nuff :) Still gotta pull the housings to get the adjustment screw working again...

Really so is this how everyone is getting them straight to 9/3 bulb positioning?

I seen the two little tiny phillips on the bulb housing and thought about it but didn't try it.

I already trimmed the large tab barely and was then able to insert any tab into any slot and got them within 10% or less to 9/3 positioning. I only trimmed the side of the tab and not the back so it still obviously seats perfectly and tight.

Why did you return?

I have dual headlights and didn't like the output. Too much dark spots. Here is a pic of my beam. It's basically the outline of both headlights. Then it bleeds everywhere else very lightly.

Their less powered 35w 5000k HIDs aren't as intense and feel like the way stock output. I took a chance at them and don't regret it.

I thought I posted yestersday, must have not clicked "post."

I am noticing the slight flashing. I assume that means I need to put the other pieces inline correct?
