Order Update

I hope. From what I understand it's still a couple/few weeks out. I don't think there is any rhyme or reason to how they do things. I'm way up here in MT so in my mind it will be a long time. Hope they get to yours soon.

Well, just got another update...i have gone from scheduled for production, skipped over frame, and am currently in paint!

Congratz... Sounds like your updates are going to be the same as mine... Strait to paint then to Final Inspection. Should be in Shipment in two days... Maybe your truck will keep mine company on the train...

Well, just got another update...i have gone from scheduled for production, skipped over frame, and am currently in paint!

I had that too - I just figured the frame went really fast.

From here it will go pretty quickly... up until the SHIPPING step!!!

Once at the shipping step, your dealer should know the expected delivery date.

So I got another update today.....we have skipped all the way to the shipment stage!!! I called the dealer and he told me that the truck has been released from the factory and will be loaded on a rail car tomorrow. From there it will travel from Mexico to Texas, then from Texas it goes to Illinois and then from Illinois it goes to a shipment hub in Ohio where it will be loaded on to a car carrier and then transported here in Pennsylvania.....Whew!! According to the dealer, the tentative delivery date is on 10/18, but we'll see what happens. At least I know that the truck actually exists and is on its way! Maybe our trucks will be on the same train after all, devildog!! But since you're right across the boarder you should have yours well before I get mine.

I wish.... Texas is home, but work is in Montana... The only good side to that is no sales tax in this state... On a strange twist... searching the inventory on the Ram website shows my truck as being on the lot... But it lies!!! I live a block away drive by it at least 3 times a day... I'm quite certain I know the delivery times of all vehicles.... The one thing I have learned though, VIN number is assigned around the time of order and not when built... the other 3500 ordered by my bud is 1 number less and his has yet to get started in the build stage. Not that it matters I suppose, but seeing how we've known each other damn near our whole lives.... I find it funny that his status is so far behind.... I'm sure he is a bit annoyed at my constant reminders of it...

Congrats! I was just there in June and remember the excitement!

Plan on the 10/18 - I was amazed how long it took to get here (I'm in PA also) after my '97 made the trip from Warren, MI in 2-3 days.

We ordered our 2500 in June, was told it was in Nashville Tenn. last Tuesday (2 Oct). Checked on it Friday the 5th of Oct. we were told it was on the line in Mexico and had not been built yet. We are complaining right up the line. No news yet, but it has been quite the pain so far.

Have you been keeping track of the vehicle order tracking system?

If you have the VIN or the VON there's an 800 number you can call and they'll update you. Let me look around to see if I can find it.

I let the original owner of my megacab do the ordering. I also let him take the 10k dollar hit when he sold it to me for the bank pay off amount lol. It only had 16k on it when I bought it and still smelled new inside, poor *******.

They finally started on the Jeep today, meanwhile my truck is at the Texas/Mexico border... It took 24 hrs to get from Saltillo to Mexico side of border.... I assume today will be all about customs... The last truck in the lineup is still waiting to be built... My delivery date has changed twice since Friday which is a little annoying, but I'm not too worried about it. At least it's headed this direction.

It totally sucks about orders from June/July still in waiting... But I don't think the dealer is being honnest with you... They are either Dumb A$$es or sold the truck for a better profit to another customer. (I've seen thad done before) Did you ever get a vin before it made it to TN? Or do you have a vin now?

All three vehicles are now built. VOTS shows the last truck being built today, but according to the dealer's tracking system it was built yesterday and is being realeased today from plant. My truck is now on US soil with a delivery on 25th... Last truck on 1st and Jeep is for 25th as well.

It looks like mine is currently on the train enroute to east St. Louis, Illinois. I was screwing around on the dealer website and their inventory shows my truck on the lot just like devildog said his was....

Update.... Jeep Made it in early this week. Picked up my truck today and the last truck is at the dealer waiting to get cleaned up.

While my truck was in shipment phase in VOTS, the dealer's website showed the truck "in transit."

I think that it might take a longer time to build a vehicle ordered in June as it's getting into the end of the model year.

Well, I just got the call....my truck is in and I'm picking it up at 1700! Figures, just in time for all the storms that are hitting western pa!
