I do not know who he is! At all car show the wife and I attend, we do not spend a lot of time at our car. We wander and look! But we also fell that We -ALL CAR GUYS/GALS need to get a generation of young people interested in CARS (not generic motorized transportation) so what we do it a bit out of the ordinary. We look for the little ones (usually under the look of twelve). As we approach we stop them and in a kind of gruff voice I will stop and ask then "ARE YOU A CAR (or GAL) GUY? Most will look a bit nervous/timid, I quick look at the adults that are with them (giving them a look so they know we are "safe" to be answered). Then goes the rest: "well there's a guy over there by a Pink Car, That has -monkey Bars in it - that looks just like me", " when you get over to the car you tell him that his twin says that You have permission to get in that car!!!!" We do make sure we get back to it often. We get the story and, well if he said so "GO AHEAD"! At one of the Hemmings car shows We had six in the car at one time, everyone of they taking their turn climbing the back seat over the "Monkey Bars". Parents look to take pictures! Kids learn to LOVE CARS!!!!! I remember how much I learned to love cars when I was in my single digits. We would sit in the garage and drive it everywhere, even though the garage door was closed! I have even added some info to the parents that are not sure who these fools are that are talking to their children by saying - while pointing to their moms " And if you want your sister to get in with you she can to, as long as she SAYS she is under twelve! It's a car it was built by Chrysler Corp. to be enjoyed, yes we have tweaked it a bit, but it's still a car. it has a kill switch in the rear bumper (NHRA required) so they are told fell free to have fun! And they do. Only one mother so far has gotten angry. After her daughters third visit to the car she came up to me and said " You have created a monster!!! Her grandfather won't let her near his car"!!!!
I'd tell ya the story of the gentlemen that got it out of park (has a cheetah shifter) and it rolled away a few feet, but it's a longer story to type than this one.
