I have the 2021 warlock with the 3.6 liter. My truck shifts in and out of 7th and 8th gear a annoying amount of times while going down the interstate. Sometimes it takes forever for it to shift back into 8th gear. I would like to know if anyone else has encountered this issue? I’m going to have it looked at by the dealership soon. Only has 9000 miles on it and that’s mainly back and forth to work. Please let me know your thoughts.

Technically 7th & 8th are both overdrive gears (6th is 1:1). Let me guess your truck has 3.21 gearing?
These transmissions actually "learn" how you drive and adjust the operation accordingly.

This^

The dealer will likely perform a quick transmission relearn and send you on your way.

I agree with Crash68, it's likely a result of the 3.21 gears. If your highway has a slight grade change, that may be the cause. I have the 2019 4WD V6 with the 3.55 gears and have no repetitive shifting issues on level freeways. The trans does get busy on roads that vary in slope and I have a light foot (most of the time). I can bet that load and headwinds could cause some "Hunting" by the trans too. Hope it works out OK for you.

Its a heavy vehicle and it's a V6 with 269 Ft Lb torque. It's going to do that. My 360 - 4 speed torqueflite held 4th gear most of the time. Never seemed to care to much about the hills and valleys on the road. It's the biggest difference I've noticed in a v8 and a v6 engine.

Of course, the 360 got about 15 mpg and my 3.6 gets 27+ mpg so there's that.

Sounds like it maybe a v6 issue. I have a 2021 warlock 5.7l and it does not do this

It’s normal. It’s a heavy truck for a V6 and that motor needs to rev to hold speed up hills, necessitating a downshift or two on hills. The trade off is your fuel economy compared to the V8. If you’ve got a 3.21 gear and 20” wheels, that doesn’t help either.
