So I was driving down the highway cruising at 110 km/h and both these codes came up. Has anyone had these codes on their truck? I quickly googled it and am wondering if the p0404 could be a bad egr valve and if the p2110 could just be a gunked up throttle body. The etc light also flashed quick then went off, any ideas?

The p0404 code is a bad EGR valve. It's an easy fix. The EGR only has 4 bolts to take it off. Should take no longer than 10 min. It's also only like a $30 for a new EGR.

I can't comment on the other code but I have changed quite a few EGR valves before.

Correct me if I'm wrong but does the egr valve direct the exhaust gasses back into the throttle body? If so could that be the cause of the p2110 code? The truck also had a k&n oiled filter on when I got the truck and it was filthy, so I plan on cleaning the throttle body regardless as well as cleaning/replacing the pcv valve

It reroutes it behind the TB I believe. I know the tube runs up to right behind the TB on the intake manifold. I assume that's what it is doing.

Cleaning your TB wouldn't be a bad start to go with replacing the EGR valve.

I changed out the egr, cleaned my throttle body (which was black as all hell) and cleaned out the pcv valve. All the lights when off and the truck seems to idle a lot smoother now, I guess only time will tell if the lights come back on
